Identity and continuity which we conceive as our core self, become a problem maintaining the coherence and continuity of the stories that we narrate about ourselves – or at least the problem of constructing narratives that give a meaning to our lack of coherence in relation to ourselves and the chaos of life.
Eisenberger’s actions permit him to maintain this continuity, as an alternative methodology assuring the experiences’ coherence. By rearranging this personal narrative in his performance, he gives a new viewpoint not only of the artist but of all who participate in this artistic space and share it, a space where his identity is re-actualized through a personal discourse and where the other is invited to observe, establishing a connection to understand and maybe achieve a new conception of his self-perception.
Christian was seen around Manhattan with a panel “Shame on you Eisenberger”, people asked him “who the fuck is Eisenberger?”, most of them guessing it was a Wall street broker.
