Existing hurts

Catch as catch can – a close up of the fight between Eisenberger and the forces of evil. Here he is, with his entire body; to be loyal to the body means also to accept its frailty, its tedium, its exhaustion, the grief that pervades it like a bitter wave that rises up to the mouth, its cloddishness, its greed, its horror before death, its search for the plain truth to which it belongs totally through the heterodoxy of the desire and the unforeseeable ways of the instincts. To be faithful to the body means to love all this, to agree with all this.
